- Swami Vivekananda was considered a major force in the revival of Hinduism in modern India and abroad.
- As per his thinking and teachings, all religions are true and service to man is the most effective worship of God.
- He advocated strict separation of Religion and Government. He can thus be considered as the first proponent of secularism.
- He had a scientific and candid mind and propagated the assimilation of scientific temperament. He fought against the superstitions and caste and class barriers.
- His writings concern the youth. He exhorted them to strive and achieve the excellence in their lives.
